Hey! Remember last week when I rambled on about Fall and how beautiful the change of colors are? Well, we’ve just entered a new territory: THE HOLIDAY SEASON (AKA, it’s almost Winter, bitches!) Sorry to break it to you, but it’s now mid-November, and it is about time you start the gift brainstorm sesh.
For this post, I thought I’d keep it simple and share a few of my must-haves for the fellas in your life. Here are a few picks guaranteed to satisfy any guy whether it’s your brother, boyfriend, or boss.
Sometimes a guy needs the basics. As a matter of fact, every guy in the world needs the basics and often thanks to their overstimulated sweat glands. One brand that’s blowing up in this department is Tommy John.
Tommy John is top-notch when it comes to the underwear game. My boyfriend recently got himself a Second Skin shirt and a pair of trunks and literally became obsessed with them.
Here are our personal favorites:
For the Gadget Guy: Monacle Speaker
Guys love gadgets. It’s a fact! So much so, you’re probably struggling to figure out what he needs because he’s so on top of the tech game.
So what’s something rad that won’t break the bank? Being a blogger has its benefits, and I was recently gifted Monacle Speakers, which I’ve come to really love. They’re affordable (prices start at $49.99; the one pictured above are $59.99) and they’re practical. They’re great for conference calls (because let’s face it, who uses a landline anymore?) and to play some music around the house. And kudos to them– the sound quality is equally as impressive as the design.
They say never buy a girlfriend or a boyfriend shoes because they’ll walk out of your life. Well, while I’m not sure if that theory holds true or not, I say take your chances and buy him some kicks that can really snazz his wardrobe up. These boots by Oliver Sweeney are classic, on-trend, and can be dressed up or down quite nicely.
Whether he loves food, design or blood, there’s nothing not to love about this cutting board. It’s a show-stopper and affordable.
Want brownie points? Make him a dinner that he’d absolutely love. Try these recipes to die for:
For the Thrill Seeker: Sleep No More
If you’re a New Yorker and have not been to Sleep No More, then you should probably go buy a ticket right this second. I thought long and hard about what cool activity could compete with this one but nothing really came close. Yes, it has its haters but anybody who appreciates storytelling and performing arts will tell you that this is a show you cannot miss. It’s the perfect gift you can experience together. *perfect for couples*
For those of you who have been living under a rock for a few years, Sleep No More is an interactive experience at the McKittrick Hotel based on Macbeth. Guests wear creepy masks the whole time and follow the actors through multiple scenarios located inside the hotel. There’s nudity, murders, gypsies, and a rave scene. Need I say more?
